Located in Tonstad, southern Norway, GreenScale’s planned 300 MW data centre campus is being developed in one of Europe’s most power-rich regions.
Situated in the Sirdal municipality, the campus reflects GreenScale’s approach to delivering sustainable digital infrastructure beyond saturated data centre hubs, where access to resilient, sustainable power is becoming increasingly constrained.
Tonstad brings together the fundamentals we look for in a data centre location: resilient, renewable power, robust grid infrastructure, fast and low latency fibre connectivity, and, most importantly, the opportunity to create lasting value for the surrounding community.
Our approach is not simply to develop where power is available, but to invest in locations where digital infrastructure can support local jobs, strengthen supply chains, develop skills, and contribute to long-term regional growth.

With total investment expected to exceed €2.5 billion, Tonstad Campus will support long-term economic growth across the region. During construction, the development is expected to directly support more than 800 full-time equivalent jobs, with approximately 250 permanent roles created once the campus is operational, making GreenScale the largest private sector employer in Sirdal.
Once operational, the campus is expected to generate around €85 million in annual value creation through direct operations and local supply chains, creating lasting benefits for the local community while supporting the future of sustainable digital infrastructure in Europe.
Bringing a project of this scale to life is only possible through collaboration. We would like to thank our team, partners, and the local community for their continued support throughout the development of Tonstad Campus. Whether through direct involvement, collaboration, or valuable feedback, your contribution continues to shape the project. We look forward to working together as we deliver one of the Nordics’ most ambitious data centre campuses and define the future of sustainable digital infrastructure in Europe.
