Dan Thomas is the Chief Executive Officer of GreenScale, leading the strategic direction with a focus on market expansion, operational excellence, and driving innovation across the hyperscale and enterprise data centre services. Under Dan’s leadership, GreenScale is pioneering the path towards a sustainable digital infrastructure, playing a pivotal role in supporting the evolving digital economy.
Prior to his role as CEO of GreenScale, Dan served as Senior Vice President at AtlasEdge, where he led the growth of edge data centres across Europe, supporting their vision of an ultra-low latency network infrastructure. Before joining AtlasEdge, Dan spent a decade at Interxion and later Digital Realty, expanding the company’s operations across EMEA, the US, and Asia, and driving customer segment growth in platform and connectivity solutions.
Dan’s industry expertise includes M&A strategy, investment, customer segment development, and site selection, positioning him to steer GreenScale’s mission of building a sustainable, high-performance digital infrastructure. He holds a degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from Loughborough University with a first-class dissertation award.
Outside of work, Dan is passionate about sports, from football through all competitive fitness events. He also actively supports the development of new talent in the data centre industry, ensuring a vibrant future for sustainable infrastructure development.
